I removed the "(this is indeed of great interest. Sources?)" parenthetical statement/question from the article proper. Such questions belong in the discussion page, not the article proper. --Venerable Bede 23:57, 10 Apr 2005 (UTC)
what happened to all of the information on this page?
I came to learn about assyrian history and can't find anything!! Is there anyone who knows enough about ancient assyria to edit this page so i can learn more? If so, it would be greatly appreciated. I need to know all about assyrians. Thank you.

Near the end of the "Kingship" subsection of "Government and Military," there is an image of a stele of Ashurnasirpal II. Its Wikimedia Commons page states that the author is Andres Rueda, with a link to her Flickr, where it states "Absolutely NONE of my work is to be added to wikipedia or displayed on wikipedia or any other wikipedia related website."
For this reason, I suggest that the image be removed.

Not done: At the time the image was transferred to Wikimedia Commons from Flickr, it was listed on the latter site as having a CC 2.0 licence. The policy is that if it was appropriately transferred at the time, the permission cannot be retroactively revoked. (See here: [1]) If you want to request a review of the image, the appropriate place to do it first would be on Commons: [2]PianoDan (talk) 16:27, 20 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
