La Vallee is a township in the Canadian province of Ontario, located within the Rainy River District.

Geography

La Vallee Township stretches for 9.7 kilometres (6 mi) along the north side of the Rainy River, with a depth of 15 miles (24 km), and consists of the geographic townships of Devlin, Burriss and Woodyatt.

In the 2021 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, La Vallee had a population of 788 living in 319 of its 379 total private dwellings, a change of -16% from its 2016 population of 938. With a land area of 237.12 km2 (91.55 sq mi), it had a population density of 3.3/km2 (8.6/sq mi) in 2021.[1] The township's population of 938 in 2016 was down 5.1% from 2011.
