Polski: Wyjście ludzi z miast to jedna z ostatnich prac Zbigniewa Libery, nawiązująca formą do batalistycznych panoram. Artysta snuje futurystyczną wizję, opierając się na literackim motywie martwych metropolii: ludzie opuszczają dziczejące, pozbawione prądu i bieżącej wody miasta, wyruszając w poszukiwaniu lepszego miejsca do życia. Praca ta nawiązuje do wcześniejszych cykli Libery Pozytywy i Mistrzowie, koncentrujących się na analizie fotografii prasowej i jej możliwości kształtowania zbiorowej pamięci – a także kanonów historii sztuki. English: 'People Leaving the Cities' is one of the latest works of Zbigniew Libera. The photographs are stylised as painterly panoramas and present the artist's futuristic vision of a dying metropolis. People are abandoning the cities which no longer provide them with electricity or running water, looking for a friendlier place to live. The work relates to Libera's earlier series of photographs - the Masters and Positives series and the question of shaping collective memory. Deutsch: Der Exodus der Menschen aus den Städten ist eines der letzten Werke von Zbigniew Libera, das in seiner Form an Schlachtpanoramen anknüpft. Der Künstler entwirft eine futuristische Vision, die sich auf das literarische Motiv der toten Metropolen stützt: Die Menschen verlassen die verwildernden Städte ohne Strom und fließendes Wasser und machen sich auf die Suche nach einem besseren Ort zum Leben. Dieses Werk knüpft an Liberas frühere Zyklen „Pozytywy” (Positiv) und „Mistrzowie” (Meister) an, die sich auf die Analyse der Pressefotografie und ihre Möglichkeiten zur Gestaltung des kollektiven Gedächtnisses – sowie auf die Kanons der Kunstgeschichte – konzentrieren. |
