Description
English: coin is dedicated to 85th anniversary of Vasyl Sukhomlynsky (28.09.1918 - 02.09.1970), the innovative Ukrainian pedagogue and teacher. Being the author of numerous scientific works (including "My heart is given to children") and many fiction books for children, he devoted all his life to children. 33 years he worked as a director of Pavliv secondary school in Kirovohrad region, cultivating civil dignity and faith in good essence of a human being and bringing up children to love their native land. On the coin obverse a horizontal composition is depicted based on Sukhomlynskyi's books. The composition also contains depiction of children having rest and taking up some school work. Above there is the Small State Emblem of Ukraine (left), inscription УКРАЇНА and the Mint logo of the National Bank of Ukraine; at the lower part of the coin field there is the coin mintage year and its face value - 2 ГРИВНІ.
Українська: Василь Олександрович Сухомлинський. На аверсі монети зображено горизонтальну композицію, основою якої є книги - праці Сухомлинського та діти, які відпочивають та займаються суспільно-корисною працею, угорі - малий Державний Герб України (ліворуч), напис УКРАЇНА та логотип Монетного двору Національного банку України, у нижній частині монетного поля - рік карбування монети 2003 та позначення номіналу 2 ГРИВНІ.
