Läänemere saab iga kell Vene sõjalaevadele sulgeda, ütles Prantsuse relvajõudude staabiülem Fabien Mandon.
„Oleme näinud, et Venemaa, mis praegu Ukrainas sõjaliselt edeneb, on strateegiliselt siiski kaotanud, kuna Rootsi ja Soome liitumine NATO-ga tähistab selget arengut: Läänemere saab soovi korral igal ajal sulgeda,” sõnas ta.
„See meri, mida NATO täielikult ei kontrollinud, on nüüd tema kontrolli all. Ja Venemaa jaoks on see halb uudis.”
