Welcome to WikiProject Nigeria on the English Wikipedia! We are a project dedicated to improving the coverage of topics related to Nigeria. We have lots of works to do like creating pages, categorising, cleaning up, fighting vandalism, etc, and all modification to Nigerian related talks are subject to discussion. We are also relevant for countering systemic bias. We have do many articles in our space including our monthly updated popular articles and hot articles. As of 21 January 2026, there are 20,053 articles within the scope of WikiProject Nigeria, of which 23 are featured and 82 are good articles. This makes up 0.28% of the articles on Wikipedia, 0.2% of all featured articles and lists, and 0.19% of all good articles. Including non-article pages, such as talk pages, redirects, categories, etc., there are 61,222 pages in the project.

Welcome to the assessment department of the Nigeria WikiProject! This department focuses on assessing the quality of Wikipedia's Nigeria related articles. While much of the work is done in conjunction with the WP:1.0 program, the article ratings are also used within the project itself to aid in recognizing excellent contributions and identifying topics in need of further work.

The ratings are done in a distributed fashion through parameters in the {{WikiProject Nigeria}} project banner; this causes the articles to be placed in the appropriate sub-categories of Category:Nigeria articles by quality and Category:Nigeria articles by importance, which serves as the foundation for an automatically generated worklist.
