Mark Stephen Handcock is an Australian-American statistician. He is Distinguished Professor of Statistics at the University of California, Los Angeles.[2] His research focuses on statistical problems motivated by the social sciences, particularly statistical models for social networks, including exponential random graph models (ERGMs)[3] and latent space models,[4] as well as demography, spatial statistics,[5] social epidemiology,[6] and environmental statistics[7]
