Soviet sprinter
Nikolay Zakharovich Karakulov (Russian: Николай Захарович Каракулов ; 10 August 1918 – 10 March 1988)[ 2] was a Soviet sprinter who won gold medals at the 1946 and 1950 European championships.[ 3] [ 4] [ 2] Domestically he won 17 Soviet titles, including seven consecutive titles over 100 m from 1943 to 1949.[ 4] [ 5]
In 1957 he was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labour .[ 2] [ 5]
