Booth House, in Werneth, Oldham, Greater Manchester, England. This fine building on Featherstall Road, Oldham, knew its heyday when Platt Bros. were a major player in the local engineering industry, and owned most of the surrounding area and buildings in the early 20th century. The building stood empty for a decade or more at the end of the century, and there were plans afoot to convert it into a luxury hotel. This idea never came to fruition, and it now serves as numerous small business and office units. |
