Zachary Athekame (born 13 December 2004) is a Swiss professional footballer who plays as a right-back for Swiss club Young Boys.

Club career

Athekame is a youth product of the Swiss clubs Athlétique-Régina FC, Olympique de Genève FC, Servette FC and Meyrin FC.[1] He moved over to Neuchâtel Xamax in February 2022 and started playing the Swiss Challenge League, and signed his first professional contract with them on 12 December 2022.[2] On 30 December 2023, he signed a contract with Young Boys until 2028 and was loaned back to Neuchâtel Xamax for the second half of the 2023–24 season.[3]

International career

Born in Switzerland, Athekame is of Nigerian descent.[4] He is a youth international for Switzerland, having played for the Switzerland U21s in September 2023.[4]
