this case got really funny from a slightly longer search, because it seems dictionaries (merriam-webster, oxford, this weird thing called wiktionary, etc.) aren't far from being the only things still referring to that specific meaning. nearly all other results i got involved the aforementioned tables, tables with pins, and tables with pins (test points, in this case). then again, dictionaries are higher-tier in the reliability department than table manufacturing companies, so meh
