A barnstar!

The Teamwork Barnstar | |
Hey Tails! For the last many hours, you've been a massive help in patrolling the back end of the NPP queue! When we started editing like, 7 hours ago at this point, I don't think either of us realized how much of a mammoth it might be. Sure, there were only 65 total unreviewed articles from 2023 and earlier (which was a number that continued to grow), but these were some of the toughest reviews I've ever had to make as they've sat at the end for so long, well over a year old for many of them. Your help over Discord to bounce ideas back and forth, figuring out solutions, saving pages from dire straits and verifying notability in cases where it seemed all hope was lost, this was some powerful and effective editing, and your teamwork was beyond appreciated to me. By the time I'm leaving this message now, there's only four remaining pages left from pre-2024! And after this hurdle, we as an NPP team are able to take a big leap forward with more modern articles, which is a lifesaver for the backlog drive and anyone carrying the rear. So to your efforts, thank you immensely for your help these last several hours in figuring things out together! Utopes (talk / cont) 01:26, 19 January 2025 (UTC) |
- Hi again @Utopes! I didn't even know we'd accomplish this much in that hours-long stretch and never would've happened should I not have taken up your request to work through the backlog! Thanks so much for your input and help through all this as well. I've definitely learned a few things along the way from you and problematic pages, and I love how we coordinated with each other very well. Like I said, we make a fantastic duo! If you ever want to start another one of these, feel free to contact me and I'll do it again! (well, I've got a lot of business off-Wiki sometimes but I'll try to at least get something done.) :) ~ Tails Wx 16:28, 19 January 2025 (UTC)

DYK for Speed Me Up
On 23 January 2025, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Speed Me Up, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the music video of "Speed Me Up" was described as "incredibly dumb" and a "cornucopia of hilarious imagery"? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Speed Me Up. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Speed Me Up), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Question from GuiltySaviour (00:33, 8 February 2025)
Hi there, I made this account to update the "Battles in Time" page which was a Dr Who partworks. I have also tried to add information about the site using my website. Due to it being pretty much the only backed-up source online (as I scanned everything on), there is not much available online. Every time I attempt to make an edit it gets reverted. There are currently only four references on there, 1 of which is credible, and the rest of the article is entirely unreferenced. Any help would be amazing; however, if I am unable due to owning the website, I'll take it on the chin and delete the account. All the best, James --GuiltySaviour (talk) 00:33, 8 February 2025 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Notability of individual tornadoes
Hi Tails! Following a (low-participation) RfC at Wikiproject Weather's talk page on the notability of individual tornadoes two months ago, I've went ahead and started Wikipedia:Notability of individual tornadoes, a policy about the notability of articles on singular tornadoes. How does it look? Is it worded clearly and easy-to-read? I've tried to remain neutral throughout, but seeing as the RfC only got two other participants (but unanimous support!) I'm going around and asking some other members of the Weather project for some more opinions. Thanks, and as always, feel free to open another RfC if you feel a wider discussion is needed. :) — EF5 16:35, 21 February 2025 (UTC)
