- Comment: @SilverTiger12 and Thebiguglyalien: where are we at with this review? It doesn't look like there's been much activity recently and I just wanted to check in. IntentionallyDense (Contribs) 01:56, 29 January 2025 (UTC)
- Life really sucks sometimes, sorry. I've been reading the article and can post like half the review today. SilverTiger12 (talk) 19:16, 30 January 2025 (UTC)
Review:
- Well-written: It's dry as the Sahara desert, but yes.
- Verifiable: Earwig says no copyvio. All the sources are to books and journals, and everything has citations.
- Broad coverage: Yes.
- Neutral: Yes.
- Stable: Clearly, centrism is too boring to attract contentious editors.
- Illustrated: No illustrations to check, but there is a helpful series-template that takes the place of a lede image. The only place I think images could reasonably be added are to the History section (pictures of examples of the historical parties and figures mentioned); however, I do not consider it necessary to the article.
Overall:
Comments:
- Why're these people mentioned under Political polarization relevant? Introduce them, please.
- ...as its conservatives took a decisively centrist position, enlightened conservatism, and expressed willingness to compromise with the nation's strong radical element. Enlightened conservatism? You might be missing a word in there. (such as? and?)
- What's the status of centrism past 2015?
- I made a handful of wording changes, feel free to challenge them.
Sorry this took so long. SilverTiger12 (talk) 00:56, 1 February 2025 (UTC)
- SilverTiger12 I've added descriptors for the people under Political polarization, and I've clarified enlightened conservatism. I agree that information about the past few years would be important for the article, but I am just at a loss on where to find high quality sources for anything from the last few years, especially for global/regional information as opposed to country-specific sources. Thebiguglyalien (talk) 18:57, 1 February 2025 (UTC)
- Ugh, I suppose political writings, even in the driest of political science papers, have been influenced by the increasing political vitriol and division. The explanation of enlightened conservatism makes much more sense, thank you. I'll pass this now. SilverTiger12 (talk) 19:07, 1 February 2025 (UTC)
