John Steven Siemianowski (born May 26, 1960) is an American priest of the Catholic Church who serves as auxiliary bishop for the Archdiocese of Chicago.

Early life

Siemianowski was born in Chicago on May 26, 1960, into a family of Polish immigrants.[1] He earned a degree in environmental sciences from Southern Illinois University. He went on to attend Mundelein Seminary.

Siemianowski was ordained to the priesthood for the Archdiocese of Chicago on May 20, 1989.[2]

Episcopacy

Pope Francis appointed Siemianowski auxiliary bishop for the Archdiocese of Chicago, assigning him the titular see of Gratianopolis on December 20, 2024.[2][3][4] Siemianowski was consecrated as a bishop on February 26, 2025.[5]
