American bishop-elect
John Steven Siemianowski (born May 26, 1960) is an American priest of the Catholic Church who serves as auxiliary bishop for the Archdiocese of Chicago .
Early life
Siemianowski was born in Chicago on May 26, 1960, into a family of Polish immigrants.[ 1] environmental sciences from Southern Illinois University . He went on to attend Mundelein Seminary .
Siemianowski was ordained to the priesthood for the Archdiocese of Chicago on May 20, 1989.[ 2]
Episcopacy
Pope Francis appointed Siemianowski auxiliary bishop for the Archdiocese of Chicago , assigning him the titular see of Gratianopolis on December 20, 2024.[ 2] [ 3] [ 4] [ 5]
