English: Penny's Hospital, King Street, Lancaster These almshouses were built in 1720, still in a 17C style. The chapel is at the end, with a shaped gable. The buildings were restored in 1974 and are still used for their original purpose. An income is generated by the adjacent Assembly Rooms.
