This article reads like somebody copied it from somewhere and used a thesaurus on all the words. Or translated it or something. I'm not familiar enough the subject to do much stylistic work, for fear of screwing up the content.NickelShoe 04:48, September 9, 2005 (UTC)
I'm not sure where to post a general comment on this page, but it needs to be fixed. The article should start with a brief description of who von Pufendorf was and what about his life was significant. It jumps in in media res, and is not well-written.
English Titles
This entry would benefit from the English titles alongside the original tile captions. The Grotius entry does this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.26.106.9 (talk) 20:33, 2 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Blindsided
This isn't my subject area in the least, but I tried to correct two cases where the reader was blindsided with no context provided for the magnitude of the spat attested (his clerical feuds raged despite his largely traditional beliefs; and his views had much in common with Leibniz, but went about justifying things in a different and shallower way—both of these points are made in the Döring citation.) Stylistically, my hacks leave a lot to be desired. — MaxEnt05:36, 18 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Elementa jurisprudentiae universalis 1661 or 1660?
"At Leiden, he was permitted to publish, in 1661, the fruits of his reflections under the title of Elementa jurisprudentiae universalis libri duo". I think Elementa was published in 1660: see Encyclopedia Britannica, Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy, and Thomas Behme's Introduction to the 2006 Libert Fund ed. Therefore I am now editing the text, new ref. 1660. --Gitz6666 (talk) 01:29, 6 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
