Politics

The 2023 election was surprisingly won by Vox, with the municipality bucking the trend of flipping to the PP: in Rascafría the PP, as well as local parties AVRO and SRO, suffered a drop in support, with Vox and PSOE both benefitting.[3][4] The municipality has a Vox mayor, Óscar Robes, and rules in coalition with the PP.
