Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar is a member of the House of Udaipur, Mewar, and the executive director of HRH Group of Hotels.

The house of Udaipur, Mewar is the world's oldest continuous royal dynasty.[1]

Early life

Lakshyaraj was born on 28 January 1985 to Arvind Singh Mewar and his wife Vijayraj Kumari Mewar.[2][3] He is an agnatic grandson of Bhagwat Singh Mewar.[4]

His mother is the granddaughter of Vijayarajaji, the Maharao of Kutch.[4]

He is a first cousin of Vishvaraj Singh Mewar.[5]

Education and career

He was educated at the Mayo College, Ajmer.[6] He attended Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School in Australia, where he graduated with a BCom.[7] Later, he studied management at the Nanyang Institute of Hospitality Management in Singapore.[8]

He works as the executive director of HRH Group of Hotels.[9][10] He also looks after the day-to-day affairs of Maharana Mewar Public School and Maharana Mewar Vidya Mandir.[11][12]

Overseas engagements

Involvement with the Australian Football (AFL)

Lakshyaraj, and sprinter Usain Bolt are honorary members of Richmond Football Club, based in Melbourne, Australia.

Lakshyaraj was made the number-one ticket holder of Richmond Football Club (Richmond Tigers) in June 2017. He is the only Indian male, to be bestowed with such an honour in the AFL.

Lakshyaraj was presented with honorary membership of Tigers at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). He was also given an official tour of the MCG, including its working central Kitchen during a live match.[13]

Victorian Business Ambassador program

In May 2018, the main opposition political coalition of Victoria, Australia - the Liberal Nationals led by Matthew Guy proposed to nominate Lakshyaraj to become a Victorian Business Ambassador.

The Victorian Business Ambassador program enlists well known and connected business leaders to assist in promoting Victoria’s trade and investment overseas. [14] [15]

Philanthropy and records

He has set nine Guinness World Records till now.[16][17] [18]

On 2 November 2023, he sponsored the full tuition fees for all the girls at Government Girls' Senior Secondary School, Udaipur, for the academic year 2023-2024.[19]

Brand ambassador

On February 15, 2024, the Indian Hotels Company Limited, known as Taj Hotels Group, announced that Lakshyaraj has been appointed as its brand ambassador. [20]

On April 2, 2024 the Arvind Mills, announced that Lakshyaraj has been appointed as brand ambassador for Primante, its premium suiting and shirting brand. [21]

Marriage and children

Lakshyaraj was engaged to Nivritti Kumari, daughter of Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and his wife, Sangeeta Kumari Singh Deo, on 4 December 2013.[22] They married on 21 January 2014 at Bhubaneswar.[23] They have three children: Mohlakshika Kumari Mewar, Praneshwari Kumari Mewar, and Haritraj Singh Mewar.[24]
