For articles that use a DMY date format, use five tildes (~~~~~), or for MDY dates, use {{subst:mdytime}}. This will generate the specific time the update was made.

Reposting the article with a few extra web sites that mention the player's name does not address the fundamental issue of lacking significant coverage in independent reliable sources. That makes eligible to be deleted via speedy deletion WP:G4. If you really are intent on getting an article for this player, you will need to find that coverage.
