Your revisions to Karim Ahmad Khan
Hello, and welcome (back) to Wikipedia!
Thanks for your revisions to the Karim Ahmad Khan article. I reviewed your changes and found them to be acceptable. However, I advise you to avoid excessive wording (like "alleged") that gives way for expressions of doubt. If possible, please use more clear wording. Cheers. Thanks for your contributions to Ogallala (game). Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources and it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

- Apparently there’s just no way to win against Wikipedia’s source criteria. There are sources — but they’re not “in-depth” enough, not “independent” enough, not whatever-enough this time. So unless the game was covered by the New York Times, it doesn’t count? How does a board game that’s been around for nearly 40 years still “not merit an article”? BrassBirmingham (talk) 13:47, 2 April 2025 (UTC)
- I found the game listed on another Wikipedia. Is that a reliable enough source?

- Hi BrassBirmingham, other Wikipedias do not count, see WP:CIRCULAR. However, perhaps you can use the sources given in the German article for your English article, I hope they are whatever-enough. --Cyfal (talk) 07:28, 5 April 2025 (UTC)
Assistance with Ogallala
Hi! I'm a part of WikiProject Board and table games noticed you started Ogallala, which is currently sitting in draftspace. Articles for older board games can be very difficult to get published, especially originally non-English ones, but I have some sources that may help you:
- Reich der Spiele (marginally reliable as determined here)
- Games International magazine here and here (see Computer Games Magazine, reliable but these are only brief mentions)
- Won 9th (runner up) in Fairplay's Á la Carte awards
- Another source for 2004 Deutscher Entwicklerpreis second place award
This may still not be enough to establish notability, but still worth a try. Also some general advice for board game articles: follow this guide to reliable sources if possible, do not reference BoardGameGeek except as an external link at the end of the page, and adding a Reception section discussing game reviews or awards can help establish the page's notability. Hope this helps! :) Salem Ander (talk) 18:51, 18 May 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks! I hope to get around to it at some point. BrassBirmingham (talk) 05:01, 21 May 2025 (UTC)
- There have been some improvements, see if there is anything else you can do with it, and resubmit when you are ready. :) BOZ (talk) 07:54, 7 June 2025 (UTC)
