Henke was born in Columbus, Nebraska.

He appeared in the films in October Road, Around June, The Amateurs, World Trade Center, In the Valley of Elah, Choke, Sherrybaby, and Must Love Dogs.

His television career includes Dexter, Lost, Justified, and Orange Is The New Black.
