The person who comes closest to the actual date is the winner (of eternal fame). The current number of articles in the English Wikipedia is 7,149,656.

This pool will be closed for entries when the English Wikipedia article count reaches 7,200,000 (96%), so be sure to place your guess before then. This pool opened on May 31, 2022, shortly after the 6,500,000th article was created.
