Guadeloupe raccoon on map
A very minor detail, but on the map Guadeloupe is marked red, meaning the racoon is native there. However on page for the Guadeloupe raccoon it says: " ... the Guadeloupe raccoon was introduced by humans just a few centuries ago. ". Shouldn't Guadeloupe then be blue on the map?
Raccoons are Nocturnal
The photos are biased to day time. How about a few night time shots:

Raccoon Diet
Raccoons eat vegetables and fruits and cherries!
raccoon <-> corona
Considering their masked faces it is a funny coincidence that raccoon is an anagram to corona. Shouldn't that be noted in the article? 46.114.37.218 (talk) 15:17, 19 March 2021 (UTC)
- This sort of trivia isn't very relevant to this article. Wikipedia used to have a list of anagrams, but it has already been deleted. Jarble (talk) 13:33, 4 May 2021 (UTC)

Procyon is GREEK, not Latin and it means "before dog". So the correct term is Greek-Latin 94.70.11.204 (talk) 16:43, 25 January 2022 (UTC)
Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. Per source, {{tq|The raccoon’s scientific name, Procyon lotor is neo-Latin and translates to “before-dog washer.”} ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 16:46, 25 January 2022 (UTC)

Evolution of Raccoons:
After existing for roughly 25 million years, raccoons have evolved tremendously. Now classified as an animal in the Procyon genus, the mammals have evolved in the tropics from creatures that were originally classified under the Ursids between 30million and 50 million years ago.
