The Big Bonanza was a comedy show in the United States. It was written by Augustin Daly.[1] Adaptation of Gustav von Moser's Ultimo?
The Big Bonanza was a major ore discovery in 1873 at a mine near Virginia City, Nevada.[2]
The show played at the Fifth Avenue Theatre in New York City.[3] A silver charm was made to commemorate its 100th night.[4] It toured to Pittsburgh.[5]
According to the Boston Public Library, James Lewis played Professor Cadwallader and Mrs. G. H. Gilbert played Carolina Cadwallader in an 1875 production of The Big Bonanza in New York.
