It's only been a couple of years, figure we should dust off this section...hey @Sturmvogel 66: - I was looking through the lists the other day, and saw we have a couple of co-noms we could put up at FAC: French battleship Charles Martel or French battleship Liberté, if you're interested. Updated - and 2 at once? @Sturmvogel 66:, you better start catching up. Parsecboy (talk) 10:33, 4 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
And again. Is this mic on? Parsecboy (talk) 13:09, 5 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Kirov-class

Would the (Kirov class battlecruisers) be in the scope of the project? SEKDIS (talk) 19:51, 5 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Well, this project is about Battleships, Deadnoughts, and Battlecruisers, so they should be included. However, I’m not a part of OMT, just a fellow part of WPMH (from a up-and-coming incubator project at WP:ATWA), so if someone from inside OMT says otherwise, their word stands. PhilDaBirdMan 21:08, 1 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
They're in Phase V, which is sort of a grab-bag of related topics that don't fit elsewhere. The Kirovs have been discussed a number of times over the years, and consensus was to not include them, since they're not proper battlecruisers (and the appellation was more of a popular media thing). Parsecboy (talk) 21:23, 1 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Just looked at the article, says the Soviets, and then the Russians, called them heavy cruisers and not battlecruisers. However, seeing as they are (somewhat) related, I agree with @Parsecboy in saying Phase V works. PhilDaBirdMan 21:26, 1 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Battleship portal

Over 2 days, I have been working onUser:Thelifeofan413/Portal:Battleships/WikiProjects and am asking for suggestions before I put it into Portal:Battleships. Thelifeofan413 (talk) 17:00, 27 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Is anyone up for also keeping an eye on this article? There's been multiple temp accounts adding the Trump-class battleship as a successor when the Montana class is already there. Ed [talk] [OMT] 03:24, 24 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

SMS Viribus Unitis

Does anyone have access to Sokol, Anthony (1968). The Imperial and Royal Austro-Hungarian Navy? I'd like to check what the source says on renaming of the SMS Viribus Unitis as explained at Talk:SMS Viribus Unitis. Cheers Tomobe03 (talk) 15:19, 10 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

White Shadows was our resident Austro-Hungarian editor, but he hasn't edited in over 4 years. I don't have a copy myself. Parsecboy (talk) 15:43, 10 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
You can make an account for free and get access to the book at Archive.org. GGOTCC 22:27, 10 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately something appears to be mixed up there as the contents do not appear to match the cover. Tomobe03 (talk) 12:08, 12 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
@Tomobe03 You are very correct, my sincere apologies. This is the correct book. GGOTCC 19:03, 12 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
@GGOTCC thanks again. Unfortunately the source only infers there was the renaming by saying "...the powerful battleship Yugoslavia, formerly the Viribus Unitis, was hit..." without mentioning any details. Tomobe03 (talk) 19:32, 12 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
@Tomobe03 Oh, is this not the source you were looking for? GGOTCC 19:50, 12 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
It is. It's just that I was hoping to find more details. Thank you very much for locating the source though! Tomobe03 (talk) 20:16, 12 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
