Veľká Čausa (Hungarian: Nagycsóta) is a village and municipality in Prievidza District in the Trenčín Region of western Slovakia.

In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1430.

The municipality lies at an altitude of 309 metres (1,014 ft)^[3] and covers an area of 7.81 km² (3.02 sq mi) (2024).^[4]

It has a population of 546 people (31 December 2024).^[6]

In year 2021 was 519 people by ethnicity 505 as Slovak, 17 as Not found out, 7 as Czech, 1 as Italian, 1 as Silesian, 1 as Romani, 1 as Polish and 1 as German.
