The number given for the coalition losses are not correct for the length of the ISAF combat mission which lasted for 13 years, We should mention a higher estimate of around 10,000-30,000 which is supported by the afghan government continuing the main fighting after 2014 and the opposition losses of 70,000 to 80,000 although the coalition numbers I am proposing are not confirmed we need to acknowledge propaganda and lack of record from possibly Bias sources. If the numbers are not confirmed or supported by a reliable source, we can't use them. And you might consider that the Taliban government is neither a bias nor propaganda-free source to begin with. ⇒SWATJesterShoot Blues, Tell VileRat!22:14, 12 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The numbers should be higher although not confirmed it is estimated that around 30,000 coalition troops were lost in the intense fighting hence why the coalition lost large parts of the country by 2007. Teatimenew (talk) 06:50, 13 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The section title "NATO's inability to stabilize Afghanistan" should be moved to the end of the article, and I think retitled "Assessment of Conflict".
Per WP:RFCEND #6, I'm closing this and have removed the RFC tags, as clearly no WP:RFCBEFORE was conducted. Summerhall fire, please follow the proper steps for an RFC next time, which require an attempt at informal discussion first. ⇒SWATJesterShoot Blues, Tell VileRat!06:28, 25 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The use of "stabilize" vs secure implies it was a host of different factions vying for control. Afghanistan continued to have a parallel government and the opposition to NATO forces was relatively cohesive. Summerhall fire (talk) 08:11, 2 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
