The Legend of Heroes: Trails Beyond the Horizon → The Legend of Heroes: Trails beyond the Horizon – The title of this game is The Legend of Heroes: Trails beyond the Horizon. This has been posted in numerous official sources, including https://store.nisamerica.com/blogs/news/trails-across-calvard to name just one example. I do not believe MOS:5LETTER, which is referenced in the comments of the article, triumphs WP:Commonname. ProfessorTofty (talk) 20:18, 7 May 2025 (UTC)
- Oppose. MOS:5LETTER is a stylistic guideline that WP:COMMONNAME itself must follow. WP:COMMONNAME would only dictate the page omitting The Legend of Heroes from the title. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 21:28, 7 May 2025 (UTC)
- Oppose Per MOS:TMRULES. "Follow standard English text formatting and capitalization practices, even if the trademark owner considers nonstandard formatting "official"". It's the same reason Elden Ring is not titled ELDEN RING. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 00:14, 15 May 2025 (UTC)
"beyond" in Article
Okay, so obviously the rename proposal wasn't accepted, but would it at least be reasonable to mention that the game is referred to that way normally in the article itself. Perhaps "stylized officially as The Legend of Heroes: Trails beyond the Horizon"? ProfessorTofty (talk)
- Okay, well since nobody has objected, I'm going to do it. After all, it can always be reverted if somebody does. ProfessorTofty (talk) 12:57, 20 December 2025 (UTC)
- A note might be fine, but it shouldn't be directly in prose per MOS:5LETTER. — Dissident93 (talk) 21:22, 11 January 2026 (UTC)
