This is the lead, this is the English name, this is the practice. Yesterday, my move was withdrawn as un-discussed. Okay? Well, let’s discuss it. From my side, it is as follows – ALL names of Polish stadiums are translated according to the WP:UE doctrine (except for those that were withdrawn yesterday) (cf. Category:Football venues in Poland). As evidence of the formation of consensus, please refer to Kazimierz Górski Stadium (Płock) and Wrocław Stadium (Wrocław). I am counting on your consent, otherwise – I expect the proposal of counterarguments. After all, rejecting this request will mean that we accept a state where some articles on Polish stadiums have English names, and some... Polish. Comment: Please do not accuse me of acting in bad faith or being unwilling to listen. I believe the goal here is to find common ground, not just to defend one's position. Moreover, you are the one who reverted these edits, and I trust that there is room to examine the issue objectively. I also hope you will take a broader perspective and acknowledge some responsibility in this matter—after all, we now have some stadium names in Polish and others in English. Let’s look at this from the standpoint that the current proposal aligns with WP:UE guidelines. There is no need to imply that someone is unwilling to listen, as that is not the most constructive approach to discussion. Paradygmaty (talk) 12:53, 30 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The current proposal is not in line with WP:UE. Even WP:UE prefers native names where they are predominantly used in English-language reliable sources or when there is no established name in EN-language sources. You can revert other undiscussed Polish stadium moves to achieve consistency. Each name is decided individually, see stadiums in other countries. FromCzech (talk) 13:23, 30 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Comment: It is fully in line with the guidelines, especially considering the part that states that names should be established with reason and common sense. You will also find several stadiums that include the term "Municipal" in English. At the same time, if you are changing some articles to English, this does become partly your responsibility, as it creates inconsistency. Fortunately, I trust that this discussion will clarify the matter, and we will move these entries under the correct English name (see the rationale on this topic).
