Talk:Buford Highway

Questionable source

While I fully support an article for Buford Highway, I have to question the website The Buford Highway Project as a reliable source. It provides no references, is still under development, and the author's only credentials are that he is local so it appears very much like a blog.--RDavi404 (talk) 16:00, 16 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Buford HighwayBuford Highway, Chamblee, Georgia – Articles about U.S. neighborhoods are usually named X, Municipality, State. Also, make Buford Highway a redirect to Georgia State Route 13. 2600:1700:6180:6290:EC64:EA7C:FD5F:B5B8 (talk) 23:35, 1 February 2025 (UTC) — Relisting. Sophisticatedevening (talk) 00:22, 14 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Jlwoodwa: WP:USPLACE says are typically titled "Placename, State" not that this is required. Titles should be concise and follow usage in reliable sources per the policy Wikipedia:Article titles (WP:CONCISE and WP:COMMONNAME specifically) and the current title is not contradicted by the WP:USPLACE guideline, which describes a typical place like Chamblee, Georgia and is not a requirement for all populated places. For example Little Five Points and Brooklyn (which had a similar RM at Talk:Brooklyn/Archive 2#Requested move 28 September 2016) do not follow this convention because like this article they are not the typical populated place for which this would apply. - Aoidh (talk) 18:42, 8 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

New paragraph

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I am contributing to this article as part of a Digital Humanities project. I plan to add a paragraph to the page that expands on Buford's Highway's multicultural significance, focusing on immigrant communities, diversity, and the growth of international businesses along the corridor. This addition is supported by a reliable source from the Atlanta Regional Commission's "Buford Highway Corridor Study" (2019).

I believe this edit will strengthen the article by providing updated, well-cited information on the demographics and cultural aspect of the highway. Please let me know if you have any concerns or suggestions.

Thanks all. Kevinn803 (talk) 18:00, 5 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
