Ivy League
Can someone find out about the Ivy League because it has been labeled as not having an automatic Bid for the NCAA Basketball Tournament, yet when I look at the actual Ivy League Tournament it CLEARLY states it is an Automatic Bid given to the Ivy League Tournament Winner. Yet other pages show 31 Auto Bids when clearly it's 32. I'm only asking because it also messes me up when I go to tell others that they only get 1 spot and that Ivy League winner gets the single bid for the Tournament. - The Ivy League does have an automatic bid. The reason why there are only 31 automatic bids this year is because the Pac-12 doesn't have one this year, due to all but two of its teams departing for other conferences. 3.14 (talk) 01:20, 15 March 2025 (UTC)
- Thank You for confirming I was seriously thinking I lost my mind for a little bit. Jasondreamer84 (talk) 23:05, 28 March 2025 (UTC)
Seeding
Normally, the NCAA tournament page will have a table that lists all the teams in a region with their record, conference and overall seeding. Can this get created for this year? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.222.89.86 (talk) 01:28, 17 March 2025 (UTC)
- Why do 2 first four winners get seeded 11 & the other 2 are seeded 16? 2603:80A0:100:4F79:40BE:C9EB:3BB:D50A (talk) 03:03, 18 March 2025 (UTC)
- The two games for seed 16 are the 4 lowest overall seeded teams, and the two games for seed 11 are the 4 lowest at-large seeds. There is some wiggle room for conference/geographical considerations. It's not always seed 11 – last year, 2 First Four games were for seed 10, other years it's been as low as 14. It just depends where the at-large seeds fall compared to the automatic qualifiers. Regionals schedule
Since the men’s basketball tournament is 1 big bracket of 64 teams (plus 4 additional teams from first four), wouldn’t it make more sense to have the total bracket (all 4 regionals combined) instead of separate 16 team brackets all the way to end (since final 4 and championship regionals combine anyway) Hoopstercat (talk) 21:04, 3 April 2025 (UTC)
