Summary
| Description |
This small village lies a little South of the major Scottish city of Aberdeen and is hundreds of years old. At one time it had a modest fishing industry but that is now long gone. Less than a mile inland from the village is the modern town of Portlethen which is much, much larger that its' predecessor, has oil-related industry and is a dormitory town to Aberdeen. The modern town lies next to the main road (A90) to and from Aberdeen and the South. The original village remains mostly undisturbed amid farmland with nice views out to the North Sea.
