Ebru Dağbaşı (born 15 July 2002) is a Turkish freestyle wrestler competing in the 59 kg division. She is a member of Beşiktaş J.K.[1]

Career

Ebru Dağbaşı won the silver medal in the women's freestyle 59 kg category at the 2022 European Juniors Wrestling Championships in Rome, Italy.[2] Dağbaşı won the bronze medal in the women's freestyle 59 kg category at the 2022 U20 World Wrestling Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria, beating her Indian rival Bhagyashree Hanumant Fand 3-1.[3]

She won one of the bronze medals at the 2023 European U23 Wrestling Championships in Bucharest, Romania, by defeating Norway's Othelie Hoeie 4-1 in the third-place match in the women's freestyle 59 kg category. She defeated Lithuanian Gabriele Dilyte 5-0 in the first round and Serbian Jovana Radivojević 10-2 in the quarter-finals and reached the semi-finals. Ebru was defeated by Ukrainian Solomiia Vynnyk 10-1 in the semi-final and qualified for the bronze medal match.[4]

After bypassing the first round, Ebru Dağbaşı lost to Italian Aurora Russo in the quarter-finals of the women's freestyle 59 kg category at the 2025 European U23 Wrestling Championships in Tirana, Albania. Her opponent reached the final and qualified for the repechage. She defeated Serbian Jana Petrović 9-2 in the repechage match and Evgeniia Ogorodnikova, who competed for Russia as an Individual Independent, 4-3 in the bronze medal match and won the bronze medal.[5]
