ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:52, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Mvcg66b3r. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, WTVJ, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Mvcg66b3r (talk) 14:53, 16 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nominations

Just a bit of a heads up, next time you mass-nominate a bunch of different articles at AfD, it would be helpful to group them together, instead of editors having to sort through them individually. - Epluribusunumyall (talk) 09:32, 13 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Whack!

You've been whacked with a wet trout.

Don't take this too seriously. Someone just wants to let you know that you did something silly.

Smash!

You've been squished by a whale!
Don't take this too seriously. Someone just wants to let you know you did something really silly.

Hello, Chuterix,
You posted over 100 AFD nominations in one day! I think you posted 136! How on Earth do you think our limited pool of editors will have the time or interest over the course of a week to review and evaluate all of these articles and their sources? Please withdraw at least half of these (or 90%) and post them again in the future (although not, again, all on the same day). It might take you a minute or two to create a page for an AFD but take an editor an hour to look for sources for the subject. And a closer needs to go through each individually to assess what to do with these discussions.
This is bad planning on your part and I'm considering just closing them all as an abuse of the AFD process. Pace yourself in the future and please do not post more than a half dozen or so AFDs on one day unless you consolidate them and post a bundled nomination. Liz Read! Related to this, please don't do make a WP:MASSNOM like Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/KPBJ again. This is just too much to be considered in one go. schetm (talk) 01:14, 24 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Newspaper clippings

Hi! I see you've been busy of late. I came over the top of your redirect conversion at KYWA and added some further material. One of the reasons I did so was to clip the citations to Newspapers.com. Clipping your citations is good practice. /image/ URLs in newspapers.com can't be viewed by non-subscribers, but clippings can.

I also plan on bringing KYWA to WP:DYK. Let me know if you have further questions. Sammi Brie (she/her · t · c) 02:34, 20 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
