The Meadows is a census-designated place (CDP) in Sarasota County, Florida, United States. The population was 5,037 at the 2020 census, up from 3,994 at the 2010 census.[6] The CDP is part of the North Port–Bradenton–Sarasota, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 2.3 square miles (6.0 km2), of which 2.2 square miles (5.6 km2) is land and 0.15 square miles (0.4 km2), or 6.18%, is water.[6]

As of the 2020 United States census,[6] the Meadows had a population of 5,037 with 3,211 households.
The population was split by age, with 1.4% under 5 years old, 4.7% under 18, and 68.3% were 65 years and older. 52.8% were female persons.
By race, the population was split with 97.5% white, 0.2% American Indian or Alaska Native, 0.1% were Asian, 1.6% were two or more races, and 2.0% were Hispanic or Latino.
The median household income was $59,293. 7.8% of the population lived below the poverty threshold. 95.5% of households had a computer, and 91.7% of households had a broadband internet subscription.
19.0% of the population were foreign-born persons. There were 877 veterans living in the CDP.
