• Following an RFC, Wikipedia:Notability (species) was adopted as a subject-specific notability guideline.
• A request for comment is open to discuss whether admins should be advised to warn users rather than issue no-warning blocks to those who have posted promotional content outside of article space.

Technical news

• The Nuke feature also now provides links to the userpage of the user whose pages were deleted, and to the pages which were not selected for deletion, after page deletions are queued. This enables easier follow-up admin-actions.

Hey, I was using User:GorillaWarfare/script/curlies.js here and in the text „Св. св. Кирил и Методий” it replaced only the closing quote, leading to „Св. св. Кирил и Методий" Gonnym (talk) 15:24, 6 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

MOS:CURLY says not use accent marks, backticks (`text´), low-high („ “) or guillemet (« ») marks as quotation marks (except when such marks are internal to quoted non-English text [...]) so either the script changes both start and end or ignores start and end. If the script is smart enough to know if the text is inside a quote having it replace the other usages would be great. Gonnym (talk) 19:59, 6 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
