FWIW, he married Florence Mabel Ardern on 30 June 1926 (registration number 1926/3731), but although he gets constant media mentions during 1926, I haven't been able to find anything in newspapers about the wedding. Schwede6618:49, 10 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Herman Mattson played for Ponsonby. He had the 1926 and 1927 seasons off due to injury (see article), but there was an L. C. Mattson who played for that club during that time.
