Welcome to the Wikiproject Golf talk page. This is the place for questions, answers, and telling the rest of the group some of your accomplishments. New members should put their name down in the appropriate spot on the main page. Comment away!

I'm thinking of creating a {{KoreanTour player}} template missing ID and not present in Wikidata. on the lines of the others at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Golf/Templates#External_link_templates. This would link through to http://kgt.co.kr/players/profile.aspx?man_code=nnnnnnnn , eg K. J. Choi would be http://kgt.co.kr/players/profile.aspx?man_code=00000190 . The only issue is that pages are in Korean but the "translate to English" in my Chrome browser is helpful, although occasionally obscure (eg height = 신장 is translated as kidney. The page contains a lot of good stuff. eg the second option (결과 = results) gives season by season results.

Full 2020-21 PGA Tour Schedule published

Noticed that the PGA Tour have published the full schedule for 2020-21 today [1].

2020 ANA Inspiration

I am wondering why no one has updated the details of the field in this LPGA Major after it was released on September 4. I have a link which lists the final field here: https://golfweek.usatoday.com/2020/09/04/ana-inspiration-major-field-105-dinah-shore/ Also the 2019 winner will not be competing in this year's event.

Discussion about WikiProject banner templates

For WikiProjects that participate in rating articles, the banners for talk pages usually say something like:

There is a proposal to change the default wording on the banners to say "priority" instead of "importance". This could affect the template for your group. Please join the discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Council#Proposal to update wording on WikiProject banners. Women in Red year-long focus on women in sport

Throughout the whole of 2026, Women in red is focusing on women in sport. This provides opportunities for creating biographies of notable women in a wide variety of sports, including golf. If you are not already a member of Women in Red, feel free to join up under "New registrations" here.--Ipigott (talk) 10:09, 29 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Pictures of players signatures on their respective articles

So far, players signatures have only been published in articles on Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Tiger Woods. Being in possesion of a great collection of autographs of famous golfers through the last 100 years, I haved started to add signatures in other articles: Byron Nelson, Ben Hogan, Sam Snead, Bobby Locke, Gary Player, Bernhard Langer and Ben Crenshaw. I understand that there could be a copyright obstacle to publish photos of signatures of British players. Otherwise I could continue this work. Opinions? Lot of signatures added. Priority given to players of the past, Hall of Famers and major winners. Little tricky to get autographs on photos and/or written with a blue pen visible, but mostly possible and background deleted. Players from all countries added, but only uploaded locally on this wiki and marked ineligible/US only. Regards, EEJB (talk) 13:02, 15 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

1970 Masters programme questioned

The 1970 Masters programme front cover, illustrating the 1970 Masters Tournament article, is up for discussion to be deleted on Wikipedia:Files for discussion/2026 January 1. This is more a programme and symbol for the tournament than a real magazine. Every single article on each Masters tournament 1949-2025 and 1934-1935, is illustrated with the front cover of respective programme/guide/journal. As there is no unique logo for each year, as there is for the U.S. Open or The Open Championship, the programme cover is placed there instead. Please help the discussion. 1984 Bahamas Open

I am creating a page for Jeff Lewis, an American golfer. According to this secondary source, a Canadian source, he won the Bahamas Open in 1984. However, I have scoured the web and found nothing confirming this alleged win. Does anyone know anything about it?

Regards,

Hi, posting here to see if anyone has time and inclination to look at Maurice Allen (golfer). I have removed some unsourced information from the article, but it still has statements which are not supported, and some text reads peacocky - about his viral moments, for instance.
