CueTracker
@Lee Vilenski: I think we've discussed this before, but I'm getting old and can't remember. Is there any way we can get CueTracker removed from the blacklist. I know there are issues with some of the data provided there, but for scores and breaks the resource is unparalleled. Alan (talk) 11:52, 1 March 2026 (UTC)
- we basically need a discussion (likely RfC level) discussing it. If there's a discussion that shows it is at least situationally reliable, then it's easy enough to remove it from the list. Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 12:00, 1 March 2026 (UTC)
- I don't know what "RfC level" means. Where would we start? Do you agree with me that it needs removing? Alan (talk) 12:08, 1 March 2026 (UTC)
- Me personally? No. I think it's a wormhole to it being used on every single article on snooker and we know it isn't accurate some of the time.
- But, I can't say I have that much of a bone in the fight. To get this blacklist removed, we would need a discussion on the idea of doing this, and likely a formal WP:RFC (a discussion that brings in neutral editors) that has a formal close indicating that the blacklist should be removed. I can help doing that. The first step would be what's known as a pre-rfc, which is a discussion opened on WT:SNOOKER asking for people's thoughts on removing the blacklist in theory. Provided it's positive, I can help you start up an RfC. Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 12:17, 1 March 2026 (UTC)
- Well if you don't agree then I'll forget it. Good point about the "wormhole". Alan (talk) 12:24, 1 March 2026 (UTC)
