Hi there, to keep an article on wikipedia, we usually requires the article to minimally pass general notability guidelines. In simple terms, we like to have at least two independent sourced (not related to the article) and in depth coverage of the article/topic. The sources in the article are mostly passing mentions, a letter from the public (not allowed for most purposes except for some scenarios), etc. While there is no hard requirements on the number of such sources, some editors do require 3 such sources to pass the notability checks. Thanks for reaching out, @Aleain. The issue with the images is something that I'm also facing right now at Yusof Ishak's image review. The 1961 image of him with Abdul Razak Hussein is most likely copyrighted, at least in the United States. I put the {{PD-1996}} tag as I believed the image fit the requirements, but looking back now I'm not sure if that's the case. It's unclear if it fits the latter two criteria, specifically: it was first published before 1 March 1989 without copyright notice or before 1964 without copyright renewal or before the source country established copyright relations with the United States and it was in the public domain in its home country on the URAA date.

This is based on my limited knowledge of US copyright, but I'm not sure that when the image was published (if it even was published) it was without copyright notice. I think it's before Malaysia established copyright relations with the US in 1990, but some could argue that this image falls under Singapore copyright laws instead of Malaysia. This is the same for this: public domain in its home country, where it's unclear if this should be considered a Singapore or Malaysia image. Most likely, I'll need to consult someone who's more familiar with copyright laws, which is also why I would prefer removing the 1961 image for now until its copyright status can be confirmed. – actuall7 (talk | contrib) 03:44, 28 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I've reverted your recent edits to File:Minister Ahmad bin Ibrahim Singapore.jpeg because it's generally not a good idea to overwrite files like you did, except in cases when making a minor change (e.g., straightening) that doesn't result in a completely different image being used. This can be particularly problematic when it comes to non-free files because unused revisions of non-free files are eligible for speedy deletion as "orphaned non-free use" per WP:NFCC#7 and WP:F5; so, overwriting a non-free file becomes a de-facto deletion of the file without any type of discussion and without any type of notification being given to the original file's uploader. If you feel the version you uploaded is an encyclopedic improvement over the one currently being used in the article, you should upload it as a separate file and add its syntax to the article's infobox.
