New enough and large enough expansion. QPQ present. Well, uh, that's a hook (in a good way), though I strongly prefer ALT1 to ALT0 for source fidelity reasons. Nothing jumps out as an issue. Fixed some minor quibbles I had with newspaper referencing, some of which I'd have brought up in a GAN too. (Watch out for those pesky papers that merge and change their masthead!) - Why do some sources call the college team the Cadets and the newer ones call them Tommies. Was there a name change? History6042😊 (Contact me) 02:52, 28 June 2025 (UTC)
- The article also says that he specialized in weight events in track and field events. I do not know if America is different, but in Canada where I am from track and field does not encompass weightlifting. Should this be put in a different sentence unrelated to track and field. Or if it doesn't mean weightlifting then there should be an explanation. History6042😊 (Contact me) 02:57, 28 June 2025 (UTC)

- For the sentence about his marriage, I don't think the bride's surname should be there unless it is her maiden name. I think this because he didn't marry a Marguerite Baril, he married a Marguerite ___, who then became Marguerite Baril. History6042😊 (Contact me) 03:03, 28 June 2025 (UTC)
- A source for his middle name should be added as an inline ciation. History6042😊 (Contact me) 03:06, 28 June 2025 (UTC)
- Could a caption be added for the image? @BeanieFan11; pinging as this is the last comment I have, once you fix these I can pass the article. History6042😊 (Contact me) 03:07, 28 June 2025 (UTC)
- None of the remaining issues are preventative from this becoming a GA, just things to make it better, pass. History6042😊 (Contact me) 15:17, 28 June 2025 (UTC)

@History6042: Thanks for the review. To answer your comments from the review: the Tommies were originally the Cadets, before changing their name at some point after Baril's career; weight events, I think, refer to things like the shot put or hammer throw (throwing a heavy ball, hence "weight") -- though given that its not specified in the source, I think it's best to leave it as is; and I changed the sentence about marriage. - Alright, @BeanieFan11, thank you. History6042😊 (Contact me) 18:08, 28 June 2025 (UTC)
