Goodbye for now
Due to recent events, and my poor health, I have decided that it is best for me to retire indefinitely. I had a lot of fun working with you. Scorpions13256 (talk) 18:10, 8 June 2021 (UTC)
- ... --Firestar464 (talk) 04:55, 9 June 2021 (UTC)
- I'm back. After further consideration, and the completion of caffeine withdrawal and vaccination side effects, I have decided to return. However, I will likely not be as active as I once was because this week has changed my view of this website tremendously. Scorpions13256 (talk) 00:35, 13 June 2021 (UTC)
- Perhaps you should read WP:OWB #61. It's one of the things that has kept me here. Firestar464 (talk) 12:13, 13 June 2021 (UTC)
- Thank you. That essay described me perfectly. On another note, I have noticed some concerning behavior with you on WP:RSN. It is not good to start RFCs on absolutely every newspaper in existence. This is especially true for newspapers that have no chance of being downgraded anytime soon. If you want, I can tell you a source that might be a good idea to start an RFC on. I have been meaning to do it for a while, but I was not feeling good enough until recently. Just to be clear, I am not 100% sure this is wise. Scorpions13256 (talk) 23:08, 20 June 2021 (UTC)
- Huh, I guess I should stay off RSN until a more debatable source pops up for discussion. Firestar464 (talk) 04:53, 21 June 2021 (UTC)
- I am not saying that at all. Participate all you want. I am just saying that bad RFCs can be disruptive at times. Scorpions13256 (talk) 14:53, 21 June 2021 (UTC)
- Uhhhh, I'm just saying I should be more careful. Firestar464 (talk) 03:37, 22 June 2021 (UTC)
- Sorry. I must have misinterpreted what you said. Scorpions13256 (talk) 17:06, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
- Check WP:RSN. See what I mean? I should have taken my own advice.

Dear Firestar464. I am new to Wikipedia edits and may have violated protocol by editing a page about myself. The edits I made contained information only about MIT research. There is no commercial interest. There are no disputed about facts with another user. I see that the information on: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kent_Larson has reverted to a much earlier version. If the new edits are improper, I am OK to a reset to the version prior to the edits I recently made. Many of the useful links and references have been lost.

- Kent Larson Sorry if I came across as unfriendly, but per WP:COI, you must request edits on the talk page. Exceptions include simple copy-edits, reverting vandalism, and removing unsourced info per WP:BLP. Firestar464 (talk) 02:41, 29 June 2021 (UTC)

Citations
Hi. Please note that putting URLs in edit summaries does not qualify as citing a source on Wikipedia. Please add citations for the Ukraine war map to Cities and towns during the Russo-Ukrainian War, using a citation template. You can learn about citing sources at WP:INTREF. ― Tartan357 Talk 08:53, 25 February 2022 (UTC)

Hey, doubt the warning you gave me was intentional as it was a rewording on a specific part of the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, not an extension of (or addition of any new info to) the original article :) - pivotman319 (📫) 14:04, 25 February 2022 (UTC)

Kyiv
Hi, I want to follow up with more of a rationale for my revert. I found this source that says:
Russian advances on the Ukrainian capital have slowed, but forces are roughly 25 kilometers (16 miles) outside the city, the [defense official] said.
The information added to the Battle of Kyiv (2022) article referred to casualties from the Battle of Kharkiv (2022). ― Tartan357 Talk 06:36, 1 March 2022 (UTC)
