A little about myself:

I am a practicing software engineer. My university education is Computer and Mechanical Engineering.

I think wikipedia does a good job of hosting information; typically I consume technical information here, and in my experience this content is reasonably well written and peer-reviewed.

I enjoy contributing new articles to wikipedia when I have trouble finding immediate answers regarding industry standards and the like - so that the next guy trying to figure the same thing has some help :)
