Stratocumulus and cool northerly winds indicate a low pressure area is passing to the south. The cloud base is well defined, and neither pannus not fractocumulus have developed, so any precipitation will be spotty for the time. However, it would be a very bad day to take a canoe out on the lake unless one were very skilled and wanted the challenge.
