Dolní Újezd is a municipality and village in Svitavy District in the Pardubice Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 2,000 inhabitants.

It is approximately 18 kilometres (11 mi) northwest of Svitavy, 42 km (26 mi) southeast of Pardubice, and 135 km (84 mi) east of Prague.

Paleontology

In 1960, a fragment of jawbone of a small-sized Cretaceous marine reptile (mosasaur) was found here.[5]
