DescriptionRetrograde entry into the ergospere of a rotating black hole.gif
English: A test particle is launched with the newtonian orbital velocity, but in the retrograde direction around a spinnig black hole with the spin-parameter a=0.998 (therefore the event horizon is at r=1.063214). t is the coordinate time of an observer at infinity, τ the testparticle's proper time, t' the time dilation factor between both, r and R the radial coordinates in Boyer-Lindquist and Kerr-Schild coordinates, v the delayed velocity as measured by an observer at infinity and Ω the frame dragging velocity (also as measured by an observer at infinity). Times have units of GM/c³, lengths GM/c² and velocities c. The red trail length is 1/8 GM/c³ of proper time; the coordinate system is Boyer-Lindquist.
