Yilmaz Bektaş is a Turkish businessman, diplomat and the current chairman of the Intel Group of Companies.[1]

Education

Bektaş completed a BA in Economics at the Faculty of Political Sciences, Girne American University in Cyprus, and pursued a master's degree at the University of Richmond.[2]

Career

Bektaş started his career from 2004 and is involved in various industries through his company, including finance and construction.[3][4] Bektaş served as a diplomat in the Undersecretariat of Economy, representing Turkey in economic matters.[5] He also holds the position of Permanent Committee Member of the United Nations Defense Commission, focusing on human rights, weapons of mass destruction, war crimes, and related monitoring and inspection processes.[6][7]

Bektaş was married to Filipino actress and beauty queen Ruffa Gutierrez from March 25, 2003, until their separation in 2007.[8][9][10] Despite their separation, Bektaş[11] and Gutierrez have maintained a cordial relationship, often interacting on social media.[12][13][14]In July 2024, Yilmaz Bektas, extended his condolences to the Gutierrez family during their time of mourning.[15]They have two daughters named Lorin and Venice.[16][17]
