Thanks for being receptive. We don't use "Mr." on Wikipedia, per MOS:MR. There's an extra space and comma in that sentence. In the lead of that article, it already mentions the impeachment. Treason and sedition may be able to go in, but those are just investigations. 한국에 대한 방대한 기여에 감사드립니다. 사용자 소개 문서를 읽었습니다만 저도 공감합니다. 한국 관련 내용이 상대적으로 부실하다는 느낌을 받았습니다. 아마 한국에서는 위키백과 말고 다른 위키 서비스가 더 인기가 있는데 그러다보니 한국어 위키백과 내용은 부실해지게 되고 그래서 영어 문서도 이 영향을 받지 않나 추측해봅니다. 저는 최근 한국어 위키백과의 내용이 부실한 한국 관련 문서를 보강하고 이를 영어 위키백과로 번역하고 있습니다. 이 번역 기능을 안지도 얼마 안됐습니다. 그런데 이미 번역된 문서, 예컨대 Innospace라는 한국 우주 기업을 보강코자 한다면 꼭 영문으로 된 자료를 각주로 하여야 하는가요? 아무래도 한국 기업이다보니 한국 신문사를 각주로 넣는 것이 내용도 더 방대할텐데 이게 규정상 안 되는 걸로 알고 있어서요. 한국어 자료로 영어 위키백과 보강이 가능하다면 그 방법을 아시나 해서 이렇게 질문드립니다. 네 비영어 자료를 각주로 사용할 수 있습니다. 이것은 실제로 영어 위키백과 정책에 의해 허용됩니다. 하지만 영어 자료에 대한 선호도가 있습니다. WP:NONENG Citations to non-English reliable sources are allowed on the English Wikipedia. However, because this project is in English, English-language sources are preferred over non-English ones when they are available and of equal quality and relevance.

아 저는 현재 미국에 살고 있습니다. 네 많이 빈약 편입니다... 여러 통계로 보입니다.

Wikipedia:WikiProject Korea#Article assessment 이 표에서 영어 위키백과에서 한국과 관련된 총 페이지 수를 확인할 수 있습니다 (현재 57,681개). 근데 일본이 124,794개 있고, 중국이 103,418개 있습니다. 하지만 서양인들이 일본에 불균형적으로 관심을 가지고 있기 때문에 일본은 이례적인 경우입니다. 베트남은 17,793개 있습니다.

또한, 이 표들에서 기사 품질 등급을 확인할 수 있습니다. FA, GA가 최고 급, Stub이 최하. FA/GA 등급을 받기 어렵습니다. 다른 사용자는 귀하의 기사를 자세히 검토한 다음 할당해야 합니다. 일본이 FA가 많은 편입니다; 열 배 더 많습니다.

아마 한국에서는 위키백과 말고 다른 위키 서비스가 더 인기가 있는데 그러다보니 한국어 위키백과 내용은 부실해지게 되고 그래서 영어 문서도 이 영향을 받지 않나 추측해봅니다. 저도 같은 생각입니다.

Hi Seefooddiet, regarding your post on the list of South Korean national treasures, I actually wanted awhile ago to try and create something about the Jeju treasures list (제주특별자치도의보물). However, there are so many more hundreds of them, and I couldn't find a comprehensive list. There are so many that I doubt they all have notability, but they might work as a list. I found that list too, but it doesn't seem to be what I'm looking for. For example, I was also looking at creating an article for the Tamnasullyeokdo (탐라순력도), which is supposedly Treasure No. 652-6 (보물 제652-6호). CMD (talk) 08:22, 6 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

To my understanding, the "652-6" is counting the total number of treasures across all of South Korea. ko:대한민국의 보물 lists over 2000 treasures. ko:대한민국의 보물 (1970년대 후반) has 652, and ko:이형상 수고본 lists 652-6. seefooddiet (talk) 08:28, 6 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Ah thanks! That's very helpful and makes a lot of sense, clearly I have encountered a bit of local pride, possibly as the National Treasure (South Korea) does not include anything in Jeju. I did find ko:탐라순력도, but as you can see sadly not that many sources to work from. I see one or two places in Historic Sites (South Korea) which might be easier to write about, maybe I'll start with them in a week or so. If I do I'll put them into your WT:KR section. Oh wow, those are nice articles. The etymology part of Bangsatap is very enlightening; I don't think I ever came across the word bangsatap, but did come across dap and geobuk. I have quite a few topics in my mind relating to Jeju that need articles, I just need to find the time to sort through my thoughts. I think he's likely notable by enwiki standards but would need to research more in depth. Given the drama in that family I imagine there's adequate sourcing.

I think Safari Scribe's comment is applicable: The sources were all about HD Hyundai, hence WP:NOTINHERIT applies here. On a quick search I'm also having a hard time finding a source that discusses him significantly in depth separately from HD Hyundai. I encourage you to add sources to that effect and add them. [22] (the 조선비즈 source) probably has the most discussion of him separately from the context of anything Hyundai related. I haven't looked in detail through many of the sources though; there's a lot to read. Sure. Sources [4] (Fortune Korea) and [6] (Hankyung Business) provide more detailed discussions of his role, while other news sources mention him in various business contexts, albeit to a lesser extent.

I've also revised the text to make it more neutral overall, following the advice of the other editor, Ca. (Previously, I had largely quoted expressions from the mentioned sources.)
