Hazel Smith (writer) moved to draftspace
Thanks for your contributions to Hazel Smith (writer). Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit for review" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. CycloneYoris talk! 02:41, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you very much. I have added two major articles to indicate notability. At this point, it is now more complete than some Wikipedia articles on individuals, I think. But as soon as it is approved (I shall use the 'for review' step thanks), the author will provide me with a full set of book and CD recording lists, plus some brief earlier biography to make it optimally useful. One place that is pretty good for Australian writers (such as her) is AustLit. Would it make sense in the next step for me to add a link to an Austlit search? This would lead the interested person to >100 of the most important pieces of info about her, categorised in a standarad Austlit way. Drmetagroove (talk) 00:52, 10 January 2025 (UTC)

AfC notification: Draft:Hazel Smith (writer) has a new comment

- Thanks for the comments. Unfortunately, I don't sense what your criteria of 'inaccessible' are ... most poetry volumes are not available online, if that is your concern. The volumes are widely dispersed in libraries (See WorldCat). On the other hand, the references are now an attempt at a judicious modest-sized mix of online ('accessible'?) and other. Could you indicate what would improve accessibility for such material that might be applicable? By the way, re CoI, the material is absolutely uncontroversial. There are no assertions of quality, profundity etc ! These are for readers to judge, of course.
- Would it be useful for this draft to be edited by someone involved within the Elecctronic Literature Organisation's attempt to get some decent representation on Wikipedia? Their lists of 'desirable' articles include, for example, a request for one specifically about the piece novelling, of which Smith is the writer/author. It is partly in response to this that I took the initiative to draft this Wkipedia entry. Thanks again. Drmetagroove (talk) 00:00, 6 February 2025 (UTC)
