Wikipedia's articles on all manga and anime series are extremely limited, and lack about 95% of the information that each series covers, including the absence of main events and characters. Wikia sites are devoted to just one given series (or any other topic) and are far superior when looking for detailed, encyclopedic information. Dragon Ball Wiki is a top of the line site, and by far the best, the most accurate, and the most comprehensive Dragon Ball site in the world, so check it out!
